Will share the phones location - but not automatically
Application will send your location to others (maybe useful). But you have to be in iSeeYou for this to work. No automatic location updates when the iphone is doing anything else, or for that matter, even when youre in iSeeYou. So if youre thinking of using this to find your lost iphone, forget it.
Nice Idea but Needs Work
I am a fan of GPS apps and thought this one would be good. First of all, the web site has a dearth of information on it. There is no instruction section on how it works and the available information on the iPhone is minimal. It is interesting that the email link opens Gooogle Maps and shows the location, but the zoom scale is different than when I went into Google Maps and put the address where I was into it. If I zoom all the way in I get a view with the message that image is not available. If I zoom in using Google Maps at the address, I can go all the way to the top of the zoom scale. What is weird is that the image is the same, so I have no clue why there are still 3 zoom levels I cannot get to on the linked version of Google Maps. I guess once you get used to this, it is no problem. I know right now you can only email your location but that more options will be added. I have not figured out if the id number and password will always give my current location no matter where I go. I will try it out. I do like the feature that allows you to change the password in case you do not want people who you previously gave the id and password to see your current location. I have used Her I Am in the past and have found it a good way to notify people. If iSeeYou works like I think it might, it will be better. By the way, they should can that video on the web site. It does nothing for the app.....
